Obituary of Margaret S. Kerns

Margaret S. Kerns of Peckville died December 29, 2015 in Mid Valley Manor, Peckville after a lengthy illness. She was married to the late Herbert E. Kerns, Jr. Margaret was born in Scranton the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Craig Grier. She graduated from Archbald High School and continued on into the medical field as a phlebotomist. Margaret and her late husband Herbert Kerns owned and operated the Prompton Pub. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Archbald. Margaret is survived by a son, Stephen Battle of Carlsbad, California; a daughter, Susanne Branning and her husband Troy of Honesdale; grandchildren, Kelley and Steven Branning of Honesdale. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Archbald, Pa. Arrangements are attended by The Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa.
