Shannon C. Skinner, passed on to her eternal life on January 16, 2016. Born November 29, 1980 in Carbondale, Pa she was the daughter of Harland and Valerie Gager Loscig of Honesdale and the late Dale Skinner.
In her time here with all of those she loved and loved her, she touched so many lives and in so many countless and loving ways. Always looking on the bright side of things and seeing only the best of the people who touched her life. To her, to love and be loved was the greatest gift of all.
Shannon was a graduate of Honesdale High School, Class of 1999. She was a lover of many passions including the love of the gift of gab. Everyone she would pass she loved to stop and talk to. She also had a strong love and passion for reading. There was never a time you did not see Shannon without a book in front of her to read. One of her many hobbies was collecting lighthouses. The fascination for a beautiful lighthouse near the ocean was always to her a symbol, a lighted path to her faith, and the love of God in the storm of her sometimes bumpy life. Shannon's faith always shined bright and strong.
Another one of her many passions was collecting lasting friendships. Her friendships were long standing and extending all the way back to early childhood. She had close and lasting friendships with many of her friends. Once you were a loved friend of Shannon you were always in her love and life. The girls were not just her girlfriends they were her sisters and were an extended part of her family. Shannon's most loved possession was not something material but her baby, her dog Zara. Zara was everything to Shannon. The love of her life.
Also surviving is her twin brother, Shawn Skinner of Honesdale whom she loved with all her heart. Not a moment went by that he wasn't part of her thoughts; and younger brother Christopher Loscig of Honesdale; a younger sister, Krystle Loscig of Honesdale; a nephew, Jacob Schoeller; paternal grandmother, Dolores Skinner; Many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Dale Skinner; paternal grandfather Raymond Skinner; maternal grandparents, Ruth and Glenn Gager; uncles, Randy and Carl Skinner.
