Gary W. Lamberton, 65 of Equinunk, died Friday, December 2, 2011 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after an illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Janine LaTourette. Born on October 2, 1946 in South Canaan, PA, he was the son of William and Helen Horst Lamberton of Lake Ariel. Gary was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School, Class of 1964. Gary was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hawley. He was a Transportation Construction Inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for many years. Gary was a member of the Honesdale Masonic Lodge, Valley of Scranton Consistory, and the Irem Temple of Dallas. He was a member and Past President of the Transportation Unit of the Irem Temple. He was also the Past President of the Wayne Pike Shrine Club. Gary was a Charter Member of the Corvette Club of Northeast Pennsylvania. Gary is also survived by two children: John Lamberton of Texas and Rebecca Machado of Arizona; two brothers: Randy Lamberton of Lake Ariel and Rodger Lamberton of Hamlin; and a sister, Gail Dolph, of Lake Ariel; two grandchildren: Alex & Tyler Lamberton of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. Friends visited on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Funeral Services were held at 8:00 P.M. Interment: East Canaan Cemetery, South Canaan. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 405 Church Street, Hawley, PA 18428 Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad St. Philadelphia, PA 19140 or the American Cancer Society, 712 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, PA 18517.
