Obituary of Patricia J. Tuttle

Patricia Jane Tuttle died peacefully at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa on February 19, 2018 at the age of 82. Patricia is survived by her beloved husband and friend of 33 years, Lawrence Tuttle, Jr. Patricia was born on December 6, 1935 in Dover, NJ to Howard and Dorothy (Mulligan) Miller. She graduated from Netcong High School and the Paterson State College in New Jersey. Before moving to Honesdale she worked at Picatinny Arsenal as an Administrative Professional, a position that she was very fond of and mentioned often, for quite a few years. Patricia had a very diverse and rewarding work history as an accomplished bookkeeper, tax advisor, school bus driver, and farmer. She was an elected pubic auditor for Dyberry Township. Patricia maintained a busy career, managed a family homestead, raised a large family, and fostered 48 children over a span of 10 years. She and her husband Lawrence are avid beekeepers and have an active Apiary that supplies fresh honey to many local businesses. Patricia enjoyed gardening, hunting, camping, and traveling, especially with her daughters. Her favorite vacation destination was Kure Beach, NC, She was always up for an adventure, a visit with friends and family, willing to lend a helping hand, generous and always kind, and loved her husband Larry's cooking. In addition to her husband she is survived by daughters, Carol Gombita of Honesdale and Penny Adams and her husband Karl of Tyler Hill; step-children, Jennifer Paquette of Greentown, Frankie Tuttle of Lords Valley, and Andy Tuttle and his wife Stacy of South Canaan; sisters, Dorothy Clark and her husband Frank, Sr. of Honesdale, Bette Vanderbush and her husband John of Vernon, CT, Linda Kinney and her late husband Wilbur of Montgomery, NJ; brothers, Clifford (Pete) Peterson of Hackettstown, NJ, Dennis Peterson and his wife Mary of Belvidere, NJ and Sean Mulligan and his wife Sara of Hawley; a large loving extended family which includes 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by a husband, George (Jack) Fawcett; a son, George P. Fawcett; step son, Lawrence Tuttle III; son in law, Paul Gombita, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street Honesdale, Pa. Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00-4:00PM
