Gertrude A. Schultz, 81, of Hawley died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, after an illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Schultz in 1995. Born February 19, 1930 in Windsor, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Stella Pangburn. Gertrude was a member of B.V.M. Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley. She enjoyed gardening and was especially fond of tending her rose bushes. Gertrude was also an avid Scrabble player. Dedicated to her family, Gertrude will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She is also survived by four children: Rose Hager and her husband Butch, Linda Hazen and her husband George, all of Honesdale, Theresa Clark of Hawley, and Lawrence Schultz and his fianc Tera Kolarcik and daughter Kayla Carper of Hawley; four grandchildren: Laurey Sheruda and husband Scott, Tracey Niedermeyer and husband Walter, Jason Eldred, Jeremy Eldred; three great-grandchildren: Kelsey Rousseau, Ian Niedermeyer, and Conner Sheruda; a sister, Bernice Bosket of Afton, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Margaret Goodrich and Marie Pangburn; and a brother, Clifford Pangburn. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 1:15 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Friends may visit on Saturday, December 17 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be Saturday in Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
