Obituary of Marcus Joseph Peake

Marcus J. (Pete) Peake, 69 of Honesdale passed away at Wayne Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 12, 2018 after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Marcus was born May 29, 1948, the son of the late Marcus and Gertrude Cole Peake. Marcus was a very proud Vietnam Veteran serving as an infantry man. He loved fishing, spending time with his family, and making everyone laugh with his warped sense of humor. He was a very hard working man and his grandsons were his pride and joy. Marcus is survived by his loving wife of 45 years , Patricia Rake Peake; daughter Tammy Seipp and husband Kevin of Honesdale; grandsons, Michael Durando of Honesdale and girlfriend Taylor, Sean Durando of Seelyville and girlfriend BrieAnn; a brother Charles of Lake Ariel and his wife Carol; five sisters, Sandy Neer of Equinunk, Gertrude Seipp of Honesdale, Hazel Rake of Rileyville and husband Floyd, Patricia Rake of Honesdale and husband Clarence, Linda Odonnell of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Gertrude Cole Peake, a sister Helen and a brother Jeffrey. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Honesdale, Pa with Rev. Mary Bryant officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00-11:00. Friends may also visit on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 6:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
