Obituary of Marjorie B. Varcoe

Marjorie B. Varcoe, formerly of Bethany Village, died Tuesday June 12, 2018. She was married to the late Richard A. Varcoe who died in 1985. She was born in Honesdale the daughter of the late Ray and Grace Bishop Bunnell. Marjorie graduated from Honesdale High School, class of 1943. She was the first majorette at Honesdale High School. Marjorie also attended the Wayne Commercial School. For many years she was the head bookkeeper and an assistant vice president at Wayne Bank. Marjorie was a member of the Wayne Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary , the Honesdale Women's Club, and the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Rae Ann Bishop and her husband Bruce of Honesdale; two grandchildren, Adam VanderHook and Justin VanderHook both of Maryland. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Rodwell; two brothers, Louis Bunnell and Robert Bunnell. A graveside funeral service will be held in Glen Dyberry Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street Honesdale, Pa 18431.
