Margaret Smith, 83, Damascus died early Friday morning on July 27, 2018 in Wilkes Barre, Pa. Born in Midland Park, NJ to the late Richard and Margaret (Osinpa) Van De Linde Sr. She was the loving wife of "Chick" (Frank) Smith of 63 years. Margaret was a Damascus High School graduate. She was a member of the Abrahamsville United Methodist Church and thoroughly loved to sing in their cantatas. She loved to cook and bake. Margaret was adventurous in her travels for years. She was a chef/owner of the Midtown Cafe in Narrowsburg, NY. Margaret enjoyed a wide variety of other interests including knitting and crocheting. She was a retired housewife and proudly supported the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren: Kevin Smith, Damascus, Pa, Eric and Brandi Smith, Waymart, Pa, Mark and Cirena Smith ,Palmer, Alaska, Kayman and Tate Colvin, Kara Pritchett. Kenneth and Trudy Smith, Damascus, Pa, Brooke Smith and fiancé Travis Wilson, Ban and Carter James Wilson, NC Joshua Smith and daughter Payton , Fallsdale Pa, Zackary Smith and fiancé Lacey Farrell, Fallsdale, Pa, Jennifer Stalker and fiancé Timothy Sloan, Honesdale, Pa Kendall and William Schwab, Jr. Worcester, NY Katrina Schwab and boyfriend Ryan Tully, Alexis and Jesse Jones, Worchester, NY Kimberly and Douglas Orr, Wakefield, KS Neil Orr, Colorado Springs, CO Valerie Groover, Wakefield, KS Kaitlyn Orr and boyfriend Zachary Franks, Colorado Springs Margaret was preceded in death by siblings, Marinus, William Sr., and Richard Van De Linde, Jr. A memorial service is planned to celebrate her life on August 25, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Lookout Fire Hall with Pastor Jose Rodriquez officiating. Light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Abrahamsville United Methodist Church 623 Calicoon Road Damascus, Pa 18415 and Damascus Ambulance, PO Box 63 Damascus, Pa 18415 or a charity of your choice.
