Shirley Wildenstein of Aldenville died August 14, 2018, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was married to the late Karl Lester Wildenstein, Jr., who died in 2006. Born in Carbondale to the late Ferris and Anna Brown of Pleasant Mount, Shirley graduated from Pleasant Mount High School in 1956. She was a loving mother, homemaker, and caregiver. She was also famous for her apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. Shirley is survived by her children, Teresa Zabady and her husband Robert of Jefferson Twp., Mary Wasylyk and her husband Thomas of Aldenville, Karl Wildenstein III of Jefferson Twp., and Lawrence Wildenstein and his wife Leighann of Aldenville; a sister, Barbara "Wendy" Marker of North Fort Myers, Fl; a brother-in-law, Henry Wildenstein of Elkmont, Al; a sister-in-law, Dawn Wildenstein of Elkmont, Al; grandchildren, Jennifer Schweighofer and husband Tim of Honesdale, Joshua Wasylyk and wife Sara of Waymart, Sarah Wildenstein of Syracuse, NY, Caleigh Wildenstein of Scranton, Luke Wildenstein of Aldenville, and Kim Zabady-Szuch and husband John of Honesdale; great-grandchildren, Carter, Brynlee, and Adalyn Schweighofer, Brooke Zabady, and John Szuch; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Brown and a sister, Marion Viergutz . Per Shirley's wishes, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, Pa 18431. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street Honesdale, Pa.
