Mary A. Bass, 59, of Beach Lake passed away on Sunday evening, August 26, 2018 at home. Born July 17, 1959 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Mervin and Mary "Connie" (O'Hara) Bass. Mary enjoyed the simple things in life: caramel creams, plastic shopping bags, and laughing with family and friends. She brought joy to those who knew her and loved her. She was blessed with wonderful caregivers, each of whom loved her in their own special way. Mary is survived by her brother, Thomas Bass and his wife Amy of Beach Lake; nieces: Debbie Franklin and her husband Bill, Taylor Bass, and Erin Bass; great-nieces: Kaitlyn Franklin and her friend Jeremy Taninies, and Morgan Franklin; and a great-nephew, Billy Franklin. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Bass; and a brother, James Bass. Memorial Services will be on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Beach Lake United Methodist Church, 7 Milanville Road, Beach Lake, with Pastor Barbara Snyder officiating. Friends may visit on Friday from 10:00 AM through the time of service at the church. Following cremation, private interment will be in Smith Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A.
