Margaret, a/k/a Maggie was a childhood friend, who became another sister in our family. My younger sister, Anna Ammerman, was in a full length back cast (she had back surgery in Alfred I. Dupont hospital, and was suppose to be able to attend her high school graduation in June 1970 - however surgery was delayed and she came home in the back cast), Maggie took the time to stop at our house and let Anna and our mother, Celia Ammerman, see her in her wedding dress the day she got married.
Our mom, was like a second mother to Maggie, who had lost her mom at an early age.
That is only one act of kindness that exhibited the character of our Maggie. She had a hard life on their dairy farm, yet I can't for the life of me ever remember seeing her without a smile on her face.
She has certainly earned her Angel wings and may she be enjoying all the benefits of living a good life and believing in her Lord and Savior.
God Rest our friend,
Jean Ammerman Corey
