Jean Marie Wilson (Baer) passed away peacefully Saturday January 16, 2021 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband Rolland and brother George Baer.
Born in Jersey City, NJ on August 21, 1929 to the late Dana and Fannie Baer, Jean spent most of her life in Honesdale, PA where she worked many years as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale and a past member of the Eastern Star. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed her many pets through the years. She was talented with knitting, crocheting and playing musical instruments.
Jean is survived by a son Dana Wilson and his wife Stephanie, Quakertown, three daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Robert Munger, Honesdale, Kay and Louis Hitty, Maryland and Julie and Allan Lyons, Beach Lake, 11 grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren along with all the very loving members of the Baer family in Honesdale. She devoted her life to her family instilling in her children the gift of love, good values and respect that she enjoyed watching as this gift was passed on to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private viewing for immediate family will be held at the convenience of the family. Later in the Spring, a celebration of her life will be held at the Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale where her family will gather to honor Jean's memory.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Dessin Animal Shelter, Honesdale as this would have been her wishes.
