Please share a memory of Albert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Albert J. Hooper, age 67 of Honesdale, Pennsylvania passed away on March 29, 2021, after his 14-month battle with cancer. He fought hard and our famous words to him during this journey were "You're a Trooper Hooper". He was a Navy Veteran and worked as a maintenance technician until he retired. Then recently worked part-time at the Human Resources Center where he was loved by so many. He was born to parents Albert Hooper and Patricia Ann Tallon (Hooper) on November 16, 1953. He was married to his beloved wife Linda Hooper for 32 years. He is survived by his brother Bruce Hooper and son Joshua Hooper along with four stepchildren, 2 sons Russell Perry and wife Julia Perry, Scott Perry and wife Laura Perry and 2 daughters Dawn Perry and Bobbilynn Eldred. His niece and nephew Luke Hooper and Lindsay Stanislowsky and grandchildren Joey Carmody, Skylar Carmody and Cody Perry; great grand daughter Pema Carmody along with many more extended family and friends. He was a man of many names AJ, Al, Dad, Pop and his most famous nickname of all "The Hoop Cat" known to all his buddies. He loved to fish and was a great navigator with his boat on the Delaware River. And as we all know the fish got bigger with every story told. He was a very talented spoon player, and we all know his spoons will be clanking together in heaven with the angles dancing – man could he keep a rhythm! His stories will never be forgotten, and he will be missed by so many. Memorial arrangements are still being determined. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home. 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
