Merle E. Baugher passed away at home on May 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Emerson Baugher, Sr. Merle was born in Rileyville the daughter of Harvey and Marjorie Vanorden Hadden. She worked as a teacher's aide for the Elmira City School District before retiring. Merle was an avid Yankee fan. Merle is survived by her children; Emerson William Baugher Jr. and his wife Elise, Carol Morton and her husband Dan, Gary Baugher and his wife Tracy , Cathie Grover and her husband Bill, and Jeffrey Baugher and his wife Shannon; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street Honesdale, Pa. Friends may visit the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will be in the East Dyberry Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated.
