Irene May Bachota Irene May Bachota passed away on 10 September, 2021 at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with COVID-19. She was surrounded by loved ones, covered in prayer, and loved by all who knew her. Her life will be celebrated by those who knew her best by living full lives and cherishing her memory everyday as "we take her with us" everywhere we go. Devoted wife to her husband, Joseph Bachota Sr., loving mother to her two sons, Joseph Bachota Jr. and Kevin Bachota, Irene May Bachota was a gentle soul. Her life and love she gave to all, will be remembered, forever. Her greatest joys in life were her family, faith and friends. She always ended phone calls with her two sons, "I love you with all my heart". She loved Jesus, reading her bible, and saying her prayers every morning, (she never missed a day even when she had medical appointments). She also enjoyed watching movies, TV shows, video games with her family, and good home cooked meals. Irene was also a former DJ. She loved music, especially old country classics, and loved watching football with her sons. Her favorite team was the New England Patriots. Often teenage kids would come over to the Bachota household because they always knew there was good food, especially her homemade apple pies. Ms. Irene always had some good food waiting for the neighborhood kids. She made everyone feel at home, well-loved and well fed! Irene Bachota is survived by her husband, Joseph Bachota Sr., her two sons, Joseph Bachota Jr. of Wake Forest, NC and Kevin Bachota of Jeffersonville, NY, her siblings: Janet, Harriet, Florence, (who live is Honesdale, PA) her brother Raymond who lives in Red Hook, NY. Irene also has two half sisters Rosie Lowe of Honesdale, PA and Betty Lowe in Indiana. Joseph Bachota Jr.'s family includes his wife: Teri and grandchildren Alec and Nia. Kevin Bachota's family include: his wife Cristy, grandchildren Kayla and Derek, and great grandsons Wyatt and Rhett. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home , 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale. There will be a visitation from 11:00 am until Noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306
