Gayle R. Simmons Obituary
Gayle R. Simmons, 77, Honesdale died Dec. 26, 2021 at home of natural causes. She was married to Ernie Simmons who passed away in 2011.
Born in Ridley Park, Pa., daughter of the late Franklin and Bessie White (Simmons) Karlson, she worked for Allied Services Home Health for 30 years, retiring in January 2021. She was a former member of the Honesdale Gospel Tabernacle/ Tabernacle Bible Church where she had worked in the AWANA Program for over 20 years. She currently attended the Cross Point Bible Church of Honesdale.
Gayle is survived by three children: Lee Simmons and his wife Joanne, American Canyon, CA, Shirley Kille and husband Jim, Honesdale, and Colin Simmons of Honesdale; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 15 in the Cross Point Bible Church. Visitation will be in the church from 11:00 am to Noon and also on the Church's Facebook Live for those who cannot attend.
Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale.
