Ray L. Hendrickson, Sr., 71, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at home of natural causes. He is survived by his companion of 13 years, Pamela Cooper. Born in Hancock, NY son of the late Bert and Beatrice Stark Hendrickson, he graduated from Hancock High School and thereafter started working in local sawmills until his retirement in 2020. The mills he worked in included Mallory's, Vitale's, Winkowsky's, and William Polly Woodworks. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an honorary member of the Honesdale VFW Post #531. In addition to Pam he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws: Ray and Kelly Hendrickson, Jr. , Lake Ariel and Robert and Ilene Hendrickson, Beach Lake; 10 grandchildren: Billy Ray, Dustin, Tiffany, Cassandra, Sumer, Frankie, Gracie, Owen, Ayden, and Colten; 7 great grandchildren: Emelia, Nora, Lainey, Aubrey, Brayden, Sophia, Riley; a sister, Laura Thomas, a step-sister, Edith Krayna. He was predeceased by a sister, Ina Haynes ,4 brothers: Bert, Willie, Carl, and Gary Hendrickson and 2 step-sisters: Ruth Winans and Betty Vestal, and a step-father, Robert Mason. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Mary Bryant officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cold Spring Chapel, 1530 West Street, Honesdale, PA. 18431
