Obituary of Teresa Bates

Teresa J. Bates, age 59, of Honesdale died Monday, May 9, 2022 at home. Teresa was born on October 21, 1962 in Honesdale PA. She was the daughter of Mary E. Hickey of Hawley and the late Ronald Head. Teresa graduated Wallenpaupack High School in 1980. She held many jobs over the years with the most recent being Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Elegantes Restaurant and Pizzeria and Wayne Memorial Hospital. She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital in 2021 after 17 years of employment. Teresa loved gardening in her flower beds, attending concerts of all kinds, and having ice cream dates with her granddaughters. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Freiermuth and husband Adam of Beach Lake and three grandchildren. Two sisters; Sandy Quick, and Ellen Knapp and her husband Bernard all of Hawley, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her Stepfather George Hickey, brothers Steven and David Head, her niece Jessica Kuglar and her beloved dog Jack. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
