James W. Osar Obituary

James W. Osar, 71, of Honesdale, PA, passed away at home peacefully on October 31, 2022. Jim was born on December 16, 1950 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, to the late Harold W. and Helen (Hague) Osar.


Jim graduated from Honesdale High School. He recently retired from the Tobyhanna Army Depot.


He is survived by his sister Jane Mathews of Honesdale; his nephew Paul Mathews of Waymart; his great niece Tiffany (Curtis) Rosler and great great niece Ruby. He is also survived by his aunt Olive Hague of Haskell, NJ, and several cousins.


In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by brother John Osar, half-brother Harold J. Osar and brother-in-law Paul "Bud" Mathews.


Jim will be truly missed by all his friends.


Friends may visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale. A funeral service with Rev Lloyd Canfield officiating will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday.
