Obituary of Carrie E VanOrden

Carrie E. VanOrden, 86, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Pine, Mill,, daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude Swendsen Eldred, she was a member of the Pine Mill United Methodist Church. Carrie is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Gene and Margo VanOrden, Larry and Dee VanOrden , Joe and Stacey VanOrden; three daughters and two son-in-laws: Theresa VanOrden and husband George Martin, Sheila VanOrden, Patsy and Phil Cordaro; three brothers: Leon Eldred, Harry Eldred and Leonard Eldred; a sister, Esther Fuller; fourteen grandchildren: Tony, Wade, Miranda, Laree, Madyson, Jessica, Chelsea, Jacob, Carley, Jeremy, Philip, Jen, Michelle, and Anna; several great and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Angela, two sisters: Hazel Schwab and Grace Young, and a brother, Harold Eldred. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, Dec. 6, 2023 in the Equinunk United Methodist Church. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 10:30 am to Noon. Interment will be in the Spring in the Pine Mill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pine Mill United Methodist CHurch, c/o Sherry Zona, 1042 Pine Mill Road, Pine Mill , Pa 18417.
