Wayne Frederick Lewis Obituary
Wayne Lewis,83, of Honesdale, Pa passed away on January 29, 2023. Wayne served in the Navy and upon returning home ran a dairy farm for many years. Most recently he had worked as a security officer at Wayne Memorial Hospital, a job he enjoyed very much until his retirement.
He enjoyed having breakfast with his friends at Grandma Laurie's in Equinunk, Pa, keeping an eye on local wildlife, and supervising the farm activities.
He is survived by sisters Judith David,Ginger Anderson and Diane Lewis and brother Ronald Lewis of Honesdale, Pa, his children Jeffrey Lewis and wife Irina of Florida Keys, Sharon LoPresti and husband James of Honesdale, Pa, Cathy Moss and husband Dennis of Mertztown, Pa and Michelle Landers and husband Dan of Callicoon, NY. He also has 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his best friend and companion,Shorty, his beloved beagle. If desired memorial contributions can be made to : True Friends Animal Welfare Center Montrose, Pa.
A private memorial service will be held this summer.
