Leland Benjamin Obituary
Leland A Benjamin, 83, of Hawley passed away Saturday evening, June 3, 2023, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born December 18, 1939, in Somerset, PA, he was the son of the late Ivan and Marjorie Miller Benjamin.
Leland was preceded in death by his wife, Rita C. Haskett Benjamin and sister, Nancy Clark.
A graduate of Hawley High School, Leland later served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Pocono Oil and Heat as an operations manager and enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending Haskett family reunions in West Virginia.
Leland was inducted into the local Sports Hall of Fame for softball and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hawley.
Leland is survived by his two sons: Christian Benjamin and his wife Mandy, 2 grandchildren: Marta and Cora of Henrietta, NY and Ryan Benjamin and his wife Jamie, and grand pup, Camo of Hawley, PA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 9AM-11AM at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
