Obituary of Albert G. Mignerey

Albert George (Bud) Mignerey, 81 of Honesdale passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2023. Bud was born to Maxine Rachel Mignerey and Albert Benjamin Mignerey on December 30, 1941, the youngest of their three children. He was preceded in death by his sisters Jeanine Ross and June Doney. Bud was a beloved husband, father, Grandfather (frequently referred to as Farmer Grandpa or Papa), Great Grandfather, and Uncle. A devout, stubborn, hardworking third generation farmer and member of the local beekeepers club. Bud was not only adored by his family, the children that rode his bus over the last 60 years also adored him. He always had a friendly smile and wave for the smallest of kindergarteners to the tallest highschooler. Bud enjoyed farming, gardening, shopping auctions, fishing, hunting, beekeeping and spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered for his instigation of water fights at family gatherings and the endless jokes he thought were funny. Bud is survived by his wife of 64 years Joanne, lifelong companions who were blessed with eight children. Also surviving are their children Albert Jr ,wife Sue; their children Alicean, Jonathan, Samantha, Jennifer and their families. Daughter Pam, husband Mark; their children Robert, Kimberly and their families. Daughter Dawn, husband Doug; Dawn's children Benjamin, Rachael, and their families. Daughter Michelle, husband Jeff; their children Sarah, Laura, Jacob, Samuel, and their families. Daughter Chris, husband Rick; their children Elisabeth, Stephanie, Richard and their families. Daughter Beth and Husband Bob. Son Jim, wife Sara; their children Mark, Eric and their families. Daughter Susan, husband Bob; Susan's children Peter, Nathanial, Gabrielle, Eoman, and Lonan. Also surviving are countless nieces, nephews, fellow farmers, friends, and his beloved dog Bear. Services are as follows: July 8, 2023 at Tabernacle Bible Church, Viewing 9-11, Service 11-12 with private Graveside Service to follow. Refreshments at Tabernacle Bible Church following Graveside Service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Honesdale FFA, 459 Terrace Street Honesdale, PA 18431. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale.
