James L. Marks, 65, of Honesdale PA, died Friday afternoon, May 4, 2012 in Geisinger CMC, Scranton after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, the former Kay M. Dillemuth. They were married on January 31, 1976. Born on March 30, 1947 in Middletown, NY he was the son of the late Sara Marks O'Dell. Jim worked for many years as a construction supervisor. He enjoyed stamp collecting and hunting; he also loved his Chihuahua, Crusher. Jim will be remembered as a man who dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He is also survived by four children: Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Marks of New Jersey, Christopher J. Marks of Honesdale, Holly K. Rickard and her husband Jason of Honesdale, and Seth A. Marks and his wife Jennifer of Trout Run, PA; a sister, Veronica Shook of Mongaup Valley, NY, and two grandchildren: Hannah Marks of New Jersey and Connor Marks of Honesdale; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David O'Dell. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the First Baptist Church of Damascus, 1678 River Road Damascus, PA with Pastor Stuart Hunt officiating. Friends may visit on Tuesday, May 8, from 6-8 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. www.bryantfuneralhome.com Interment will be in Overlook Cemetery, Damascus, PA at a later date.
