Josh E. Drake Obituary

Josh E. Drake,39,died Thursday, September 21, 2023 unexpectedly at work.


Born in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Mary Jean Drake Kenowsky. He attended Honesdale High School and then went to work for George Bayly Homes and Indian Orchard Homes. He then started employment at W. J. Reining Lumber in Beach Lake where he worked over 15 years.


Josh is survived by two sisters: Jessica Case and her husband Chris, Beach Lake and Tammy Kenowsky, Honesdale; a brother Andrew Kenowsky and his wife Veronica,Cherry Ridge; father, Gary Welsh , Honesdale; aunt and uncle Lloyd and Banne Drake, Cherry Ridge; girlfriend, Nellie Tuttle, Honesdale , several nieces and nephews ; one great nephew.


In addition to his mother he was predeceased by a daughter, Haylee.


Visitation will be in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. A memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00 pm in the funeral home.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Beach Lake Fire Company or the Welcome Lake Fire Company.


Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
