Clark Allen Bonear passed away on September 23, 2023 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. He is survived by his wife Victoria (Davitt) Bonear.
Clark was the son of the late Chester and Mary Robinson Bonear. He graduated from Honesdale High School, class of 1952, and then served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Clark returned to Honesdale and was employed as a supervisor for Katz Underwear Manufacturing. He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church and a past member of Free & Accepted Masons Honesdale Blue Lodge #218. He served on the school board for the Wayne Highlands School District as a member and president. Clark was an avid New York Yankee Fan and had a keen interest in military aircraft. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife Vicky.
Clark is survived by his daughter, Kim Eldred and her husband Donald and grandson Andrew of Cherry Ridge; step-children, John Zdziarski and his wife Tammy of Waymart, Bill Zdziarski of Waymart, Susan Rutherford and her husband Al of Honesdale, and Tricia Zdziarski of Waymart; step grandchildren: Brandon, Kea, David, Michaela, Daniel, Chelsea, Kori, Anya, Austin, Brooke, and Kassie; six step- great grandchildren, Jaron, Kenzie, Emma, Shane, Roeanna and Rilynn; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Bonear and a sister, Carol Mackey.
Friends may visit the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main St Honesdale, Pa on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 in the Bethany Presbyterian Church, Bethany Pa at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale.
