Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Linda Sue (Sis) Keesler, age 74, passed away on May 12, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 22, 1950, in Lookout, PA, to Lindsay and Ruth (Rake) Cole. Linda was the beloved wife of Philip Keesler for 58 years and the devoted mother to Brenda, Carl, John (Cathy Gill), Rob (Maria De Gennaro), and Greg. Linda was a loving and nurturing mother who dedicated her life to raising her children with care and compassion. She was also a cherished grandmother to Dillon (Emily Fuller), Killian, Karli, and Kelli, and a doting great-grandmother to Harper. Linda's grandchildren brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She always made sure they were spoiled and did not leave wanting anything. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Philip, and her eldest son, Carl. She was one of 12 siblings: Shirley, James (Jim), Lindsay (Sonny), William (Bill), Edward (Bub), John, Donna, Russell (Russ), Patricia (Pat), Michael, and Thomas. Linda was often visited by at least one of her siblings on a daily basis to shoot the breeze, share a cup of coffee, and sometimes she would even provide a haircut. Linda had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Linda was a dedicated homemaker and devoted wife, always putting her family first. While she never worked outside the home, Linda spent countless hours babysitting for children in the family and neighborhood, imparting valuable lessons of kindness and integrity. Linda had a love for reading novels and exploring treasures at rummage sales and penny socials. She was admired for her baking talents, particularly her assortment of Christmas cookies that she prepared with care and shared generously with loved ones. In her later years, she even enlisted the assistance of her husband to ensure all the platters were filled with as many cookies and as much love as possible. Linda found joy in decorating her home for each holiday and took pride in crocheting blankets for her family and friends. Sis, as she was known by many, will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and caring that will be cherished by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 20, 2024, in the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale with Rev. Lloyd Canfield officiating. Viewing will be held on Monday from 9-11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee.
