Richard L. Eddings, 77, of Bethany passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Aventura at Creekside, Carbondale. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Patricia (Braun) Eddings

Born August 9, 1946 in the Bronx he was a son of the late Lorenzo and Teresa (Badum) Eddings, and was raised by the late Louis and Rita Salera.

He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the Marine Corps and was awarded a Purple Heart.

He was employed by the William Floyd School District in Long Island, NY for many years working in maintenance and landscaping. He retired when they moved to Pennsylvania in 1987.

Surviving are children, Richie, Bobby, John, Jimmy, April, Thomas, Stephen, Stuart, Damion and Jennifer; his siblings, William, Michael, Chuck, Virginia, Geraldine, Louis; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Visitation with Military Honors will be held in the near future. Obituary will be updated with service information when it is available.

The Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale is assisting the family with the arrangements.
