Obituary of Myra A. Macdowall

Myra A. Macdowall, 92, formerly of Beach Lake and most recently a resident at Wayne Woodlands Manor passed away Friday, July 12, 2024. Born February 19, 1932 in Creamton she was a daughter of the late Rexford and Verla (Clift) Arnold. She was a graduate of the Pleasant Mount High School and worked as a seamstress at the Katz Factory and Waymart Mill Works. Myra was also a CNA and had a long history of caring for others well into her 80's. She was a former member of the Eastern Star as well as the Central United Methodist Church and most recently was a member of the Honesdale Assembly of God Church. Surviving are a daughter Debra MacDowall and her husband Mark Lent; two sisters Verla Brudermann and her husband Don and Rexana McDonough and her husband William; sister in law and caregivers Linda Rutherford and her husband Bailie; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Claron, Glen, and Gail Arnold, and three sisters, Maribel Bodick, Clara Cosgrove, and Bessie Stiteler. As per her request cremation will be held with interment in Clinton Center Cemetery. Arrangements are attended by Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main St., Honesdale.
