Francis Conklin, Milanville, Pa passed away at Community Medical Center on Sept. 3, 2024. He was born in Milanville, Pa on Feb. 9, 1936.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Barbara Kleffmann, his son Dale at home, his daughter Tammy Johnson and her husband Steven of Kingsley, Pa, his granddaughter Amelia and husband Andrew of Moscow, Pa, great grandson Mason, and sister Janet Suttliff of Honesdale, Pa.
He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Francis and Barbara operated a logging business for over 60 years, raised beef cattle on their farm and with Dale operated their portable sawmill. Francis was an avid hunter and fisherman having done so in many of the Canadian Provinces, Alaska, Colorado, Montana, New York and Pennsylvania. He was a member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the NRA and Boyds Mills Hunting club.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 63, Damascus, PA 18415 or to the Dessin Animal Shelter 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Following cremation a private family memorial service will be held at the family's convenience.
Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale.
