Obituary of Gary Fulkerson

Gary Charles Fulkerson, 77, of Honesdale passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Bonnie (Mitchell) Fulkerson. Born April 20, 1947 in Honesdale he was a son of Gladys (Bagnes) Fulkerson of Honesdale and the late Charles Fulkerson. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. Gary was self employed and worked as a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Honesdale Golf Club and was Club Champion one year, he was a member of the Honesdale Fraternal Order of Eagles and a life-member of the NRA. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. Also surviving are a daughter Vickie Fulkerson, of CT; a niece Kim and her family of TX and a cousin Jim and his family of PA; a sister-in-law Emmy Lou of Honesdale; a brother-in-law, Jim Mitchell of KY; and his dog Gracie. He was preceded in death by a sister Diane Rutledge. Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main St., Honesdale with the memorial service following at 11 AM with Rev. Lloyd Canfield officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in East Dyberry Cemetery.
