Dorothy P. Moser Obituary

Dorothy Louise Pepper Moser, 98, of White Mills, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl H. Moser on September 2, 2007.


Dorothy was born on May 3, 1926 in White Mills as the daughter of the late Edson and Lillian (Stephens) Pepper. Dorothy and Carl Moser were married on July 1, 1948 at the White Mills United Methodist Church.


Dorothy graduated from Hawley High School in 1944 and joined the WWII Cadet Nursing Corps in May of 1944. She graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School on September 3, 1947. That fall, she began working as a Registered Nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital and worked there until her retirement in 1992 as the supervisor of the SNF unit. Dorothy also had attended Marywood University and Johns Hopkins University for continuing education.


She was a lifelong member of the White Mills United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's group. She was also a parent and advocate for individuals with intellectual disabilities, a lifelong supporter of the Human Resource Center, Inc. and the mission to empower individuals.

A special thank you to Leah McClain for taking such great care of Dorothy and going along with all of her shenanigans in her final years.


Surviving are three ssons -James C. Moser, Theodore H. Moser, spouse Mary Cottell Moser, Joseph P. Moser; Bonus Son Chris Benedict; grandchildren- Charles Moser, Jaclyn Moser, Jamie Moser Weissman, spouse Samuel Weissman, Nicole Moser Boria, Jenna Moser Sandman, spouse Robert Sandman, Eric Moser, spouse Shanequa Knecht Moser, Danielle Moser Hazimof, spouse William Hazimof; great-grandchildren- Hunter Moser, Alyssa Moser, Carlee Moser Alli, spouse Salvador Alli, Trevor Moser, Donovan Boria, Makayla Moser, Jase Moser, Skye Moser, Harper Moser, Amberlee Moser, Lucy Sandman, Christian Sandman, Lena Rollison; great-great-grandchildren- Karson Moser, Karter Moser, Ryleigh Hover, Genevieve Alli .

Her viewing will be held on Friday December 13, 2024 from 1-2 PM at the White Mills United Methodist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dale Pepper officiating. Interment will follow at the Indian Orchard Cemetery.


The Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale has charge of the arrangements.
