Obituary of Elinor R Fitch

Elinor R. (Parsons) Schwab Fitch, 87, of Damascus and formerly of Callicoon passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at her son's home. Born July 6, 1937 in Damascus she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mabel (Jensen) Parsons. Elinor worked as a CNA at the Roscoe Nursing Home. She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, crocheting and knitting. Surviving are three sons Delvin, Raymond and John Schwab; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Harry and Roger Parsons and Rita Davis as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Royer, a son James Schwab, and sisters Barbara Whitley, Alice Theis, Margaret Hust and Harriet Paynter. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10-11 AM at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 N. Main St., Honesdale with the funeral service following at 11 AM. Private Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Damascus. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Elinor’s name may be made to the donors favorite charity.
