Brenda J. Fritz, 43, of Honesdale died Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Mercy Hospice, Scranton, after an illness. She is survived by her husband, Mark Fritz. Born on July 28, 1967 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of John & Judy Ordnung Romich of Honesdale. Brenda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale. She was a dedicated teacher, having taught Math nearly 20 years at Wayne Highlands Middle School; she was also a member of the Pennsylvania State Educators Association. Brenda enjoyed skiing, but most especially spending time with family friends. Her daughter and her daughter's many accomplishments were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her daughter, Rachel Olivia Fritz, at home; a sister, Amy S. Bidwell and her husband, Randy of Honesdale; two nieces: Paige and Megan Bidwell of Honesdale; mother and father-in-law, George and Cleone Fritz, Honesdale; two brother-in-laws: Kevin Fritz, and Timothy Fritz, and his wife Christine, all of Honesdale; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by the family cat, Muffy. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 31, 2011 in the First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale, with Rev. Michael Lyle officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2011 in the First Presbyterian Church, Honesdale. Interment will be in St.John's Lutheran Cemetery, Honesdale.
