Esther J. Dunn, 82 of Honesdale, Berlin Township, died Wednesday night, August 1, 2012 in the Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Kenneth S. Dunn who died December 5, 2007. Born on July 30, 1930 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late William E. Jones and the late Anna Elizabeth Sweitzer Jones. Esther was a member of the Christadelphian Chapel in Honesdale. She was the former President and Board Member of the Wayne County Human Resources Agency. Esther loved animals and fondly supported many Humane Societies and the SPCA. Her dogs: Katie, Freckles, and Oswald were her constant companions. Esther dearly loved her family; especially her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Decker and her husband Alan of Pittston, Twp., and Tamara Hecker and her husband Jack of Bonita Springs, FL; grandchildren: Tara Colarusso and her husband Joseph, Jennifer Reklaitis and her husband Ryan, Laura Decker, Joshua Derrick, Justin Derrick and his wife Monica; step-granddaughters: Lauren Hecker and Kristin Hecker; great-grandchildren: Dustin Colarusso, Jaydon Colarusso, Bryce Derrick, Savannah Derrick, Sierra Derrick, Sharlette Derrick and Emily Grace Reklaitis; She was also preceded in death by an adopted daughter, Bitsy Delzer; and a sister, Lois J. Beck. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 with Brother David Stiles and Brother James Harper of the Christiadelphian Ecclesia officiating. Friends may visit on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made in Esther's memory to the Honesdale Christadelphian Chapel, 204 Water Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 or the local Humane Society of the donor's choice.
