Joseph J. Borsdam, 45, Honesdale died unexpectedly Thursday August 16, 2012 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital Honesdale. Born February 14, 1967 in Honesdale, son of David R. and Bettyjane Haun Borsdam of Honesdale he graduated from Honesdale High School in 1985. He was also a graduate of Florida Southern College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. He was presently employed at Borsdam, Inc. Honesdale. Joseph's primary interests were his son, music, golf, NASCAR , his family and a bottle of Coca-Cola. He was the greatest dad. He is also survived by a son, Austin Michael Borsdam, at home; two brothers: Michael Borsdam and his wife Michele, Beach Lake and James Borsdam, Honesdale; maternal grandmother, Virginia Horton Haun, Honesdale; nieces and nephews: Justin Joseph Borsdam, Lukas Borsdam, Megan Amanda Borsdam, Sadie Borsdam, and Rece Borsdam. He was preceded in death by a sister, Amanda Borsdam, paternal grand parents, Henry and Margretta Borsdam ; and his maternal grandfather Mickey Haun. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 20, 2012 in the First Presbyterian Church, Honesdale with Rev. Michael Lyle officiating. Friends may visit at the church Monday from 9:00- 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to a the Austin Michael Borsdam Trust Fund, c/o Brian Haun at the Dime Bank, 820 Church Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
